When people are cold, they tend to shiver and want to curl up in a comfortable blanket. Even when it’s cold outside, don’t turn the heat all the way up. You can also consider adding a cooling fan next to your bed. As the cool air circulates throughout the room, you’re going to want to snuggle and get in the bed. As you get into a position that feels warm and comfortable, it’s a lot easier to fall asleep.

As you cultivate a routine, your brain gets into the habit of doing it. So, it’s best to solidify a night time routine and do it every night until it feels like second nature. In this routine, it’s wise to include a relaxing activity such as a nice, hot bubble bath and a big cup of tea. You can also find your favourite pajamas, curl up with some popcorn and read a good book.

If you love listening to music, consider listening to some soothing music before bed. You can also stretch, practice some yoga poses and do some meditations before bed. Find an activity that takes you to a place of deep relaxation and make sure that you do it each night. The more you do it and experience the benefits, the more likely you’ll be to continue the habit and fall asleep easier.
